INCENTIVE: Alfred would like the chance go to back with what he knows now to attempt to convince Bruce Wayne to give up on his war against Superman and go after the right person.
FIT: Alfred may be an older gentleman, but that doesn't mean he's at all lost his game. He's certainly kept his sass. This particular means of accomplishing his goal appeals to him since he won't at any point be missed and while he's not exactly a pacifist, the point, he feels, is not best served by violence. Attacking things intelligently and fighting for Bruce's soul with information is much more his speed. As for his understanding of consent, he pretty much raised a superhero for one, and two, we've never seen him act (in any version) with anything less than the utmost respect for EVERYONE he deals with.
